 Laura Coleman, PT, ATC, CGS, Personal Health Coach
Laura Coleman, PT, ATC, CGS has 20 years experience as a sports and orthopedic physical therapist. She is a former owner of SPECTRUM Therapy, a chain of outpatient physical therapy clinics in central Virginia. She has been personally studying fitness and health since she received her B.S. in Physical Education from the University of Virginia in 1985. She also has a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia (1987). Laura has been board certified as a Sports Clinical Specialist, has been part of the medical team at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, and has been a consultant in a number of industries. She is a nationally known speaker, and a consultant to physical therapists. She is also a Certified Golf Specialist. After selling SPECTRUM Therapy, Laura has focused on developing a new business that integrates her physical therapy skills, her passion for health and wellness, and her desire to help others. She created “PT Plus”, and opened a new facility in the Summer of 2006 that focuses on the fitness needs of our community.
Jean Momorella, MPT
Jean Momorella is a licensed physical therapist and personal trainer. Her physical therapy background includes a Master of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 1996 and a BS in Physical Education/Athletic Training from the College of Charleston. Jean began practicing in outpatient physical therapy while living in Florida. At the same time, she taught personal trainer certification classes across the country to therapists and other health professionals. Jean has also developed the “Strength Training Program Design” course for the IWA which is currently being taught on a regular basis.
She has traveled the east coast and has worked in a number of different settings with a variety of patients including professional and collegiate athletes.
After moving to Charlottesville in 2003, Jean began working for Nelson Physical Therapy.
In addition to her work as a therapist, Jean is a mother of 2 girls, loves to play tennis, run and practice yoga.

Nina Jackson, MPT
Physical Therapist, Yoga and Pilates Instructor
Originally from Austria, Nina received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 1994 and her B.S. in Exercise Science & Physiology from Virginia Tech in 1990. She has a wide variety of experiences including working with Olympic Marathon runners, competitive collegiate athletes, as well as with pediatric and geriatric patients. Nina has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and Pilates for 4 years and has incorporated these into her physical therapy practice. She has written articles and organized multiple workshops on her unique approach. Nina is married with two children and loves the outdoors and traveling to Europe to visit her family.

Donna Goffin-Girasek "Kali", MS, E-RYT500, Yoga Instructor
Kali has practiced yoga since 1991. She has been a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher for 14 years. She has integrated other styles of hatha yoga into her teaching including Iyengar Yoga. Kali has completed training entitled Therapeutic Yoga for Senior’s, at The Duke University Integrative Medicine Center; a component of the Duke University Health Care System focusing on the medical issues and safe yoga practice of senior’s.
Kali has taught the following classes and workshops: Kripalu Yoga-Gentle, Intermediate and Advanced levels, Partner Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga and Pilates Fusion, Modified Yoga for Specific Needs, Yoga for Senior’s, and Chair Yoga and has staff managed and taught in the 200 and 500 hour Kripalu Yoga Training Programs at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, Lenox, MA. Kali is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Yoga Alliance and the Kripalu Yoga Teacher’s Association.
Diane Goodson, Office Manager
A native Virginian, Diane brings her people skills and desire for a healthy lifestyle to our company to deliver outstanding customer service to all that enter the doors or call. She has years of experience working in physicians’ offices and in the public school system. She loves people, especially children, and is learning how to be physically active to manage her osteoporosis and keep up with her very active 10 year old son.

Karla K. Chaillet, Fitness Specialist
Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Karla attended the George Washington University where she received her BS in Pre-Medicine and a MS in Exercise Physiology. She has worked in the fitness industry for 25 years, having had her own personal training business for 10 years in D.C. after graduate school, and continuously teaching a wide variety of group exercise classes. In 1995, she moved to Las Vegas with her family and worked as a full-time group exercise instructor and coordinator for a large fitness and sports complex. Karla is also a CPR and First Aid Instructor for the American Red Cross. She recently relocated to Crozet with her 2 daughters.

Randy S. Rider, PT, CHT, Physical Therapist,
Certified Hand Therapist
Originally from upstate New York, Randy received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Hunter College in 1990. He worked in a variety of physical therapy settings in California before moving to Virginia in 2003. Randy lives in Crozet with his wife and three children.

Kohl Kershisnik, MPT, Physical Therapist,
Raised in Illinois, Kohl graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a B.S. in Kinesiology. He then went on to earn his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2000. He moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina where he worked eight years in an outpatient post-surgical/rehab setting. He worked with a wide variety of patients from recreational to professional athletes, worker’s compensation cases, and many post-surgical/joint replacement patients. His passion is helping people achieve their goals, big or small. Kohl focuses on patient satisfaction and motivation, and strives to develop an individualized plan for each of his clients based on specific interests and skill level. He spends his free time with his four year old daughter, Meredith, two year old son, Collin and his wife, Rebecca. Their idea of a good time is a long hike on wooded trails with a nice picnic, going to the park, playing soccer, and, of course, playing hide and go seek.

Robyn Weatherford , PTA, Physical Therapy Assistant
Robyn Weatherford is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. She has worked in a wide variety of settings including hospital, assisted living and outpatient clinics. These experiences have given her the benefit of working with an extensive background of clientele including multi-level geriatric patients, acute and chronic pain, neurological, cardiac, and soft tissue and sports related injuries. Robyn enjoys using her manual skills along with instruction and education for individualized exercise program development.
Robyn enjoys living in Charlottesville with her husband Chris and two daughters Zoe and Olivia. Family life keeps her busy, a regular yoga practice keeps her grounded, and a sense of humor keeps her light.

Rita Adcock , Financial Coordinator
Rita is a native Virginian and has worked in the Physical Therapy sector for 23 years as an office manager. Rita lives in Crozet and is excited to be working in Crozet too. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as working in her garden and being outdoors. Rita spends most of her non-work time at baseball and football games with her teenage son.

Angela
Swearingen, Front Desk Specialist
Currently a student at Liberty University, Angela is preparing to go to Physical Therapy School in the near future. Angela grew up in Waynesboro and will receive her undergraduate degree in Health Promotions in May, 2010. Angela has worked in another outpatient physical therapy setting in Waynesboro before joining the staff of PT Plus.
